Year Three: No Good Will

When the series returned after a lengthy break, the show focused primarily on the Crawford family and how they would deal with the revelation that Matriarch Eugene Crawford had passed away. The family would scramble together with hungry ears as they gathered for the reading of Eugene's will. She was in fact the most wealthy resident of South Beach, owning properties galore and a multi-billion dollar company. The family was eager to hear how Eugene had allotted various properties and possessions to each of them.

Then came the utter shock...

At the reading of the will, the complete family went into shock after learning that the eldest and most eccentric of the group, Penny, was named the new owner of nearly all of Eugene's properties. It was then revealed that Eugene had named Penny the CEO of Crawford Corp., and also forced Monica to work under Penny at Crawford Cosmetics (Monica's  company and creation). Sam would remain President of Crawford Corp- although now he would also be forced to work under his sister.

The family instantly accused Penny of altering the will after the newfound discovery. They simply couldn't believe that Eugene would be so careless with her will to leave so much with the scheming daughter. Denying any knowledge of the will prior to Eugene's death, Penny relished in the fact that she would finally have so much in the palm of her hands. In actuality, the Crawfords would now be under the control of Penny's erratic behavior... that which they truly feared the most.

During this time, Drake Coleson started finding keys to his past as he eventually found Dinah Maravalli who had been in hiding for sometime. He would soon learn that Dinah had been responsible for his disappearance and he realized that Karen was indeed his true love. However, coming to terms with such was not an easy process. After many bouts of denial and continued withdrawal from his family, Drake eventually would seek out Karen and begged for her forgiveness after leaving her alone with their child to raise. The two would soon decide that it would be best to send Brianna away to boarding school until they knew for certain that their family was out of danger. To Barbara's dismay, the family bid a farewell to Brianna as they hoped that she would experience a better childhood elsewhere.

Drake would soon ask for the aid of Bo and Mel as he decided to take on the impossible- he was now on a mission to bring Dinah down- and this time it would be for good.
